Structural Grids and Columns

This project I developed a layout to organize my structural design components. I copied and monitored grid lines from a linked architectural model and added additional grid lines where curved walls needed extra support. Once I had created my grid, I created columns and placed them in the appropriate locations of the structural grid.
Structural Frames

For this project, I created the structural framing of the building. I sketched individual beams for girders connecting columns and structural walls, then I created a beam system of similar beams spaced at even intervals. Once I had created this beam system, I needed to add bracing to support the framing members, then modified these members to fit appropriately. After completing this, I added trusses for the long spans of open space.
Structural Slabs

This project involved creating slabs for foundations, structural floors, and roofs. I added slab edges for stability along each side of the slab and created shaft opening that pass through multiple levels for elevators.
Structural Reinforcement

This project involved the addition of structural reinforcement. I placed general rebar, then modified my rebar using various controls, properties and modification tools in order to conform the rebar to the project. I added and modified a rebar coupler as well as adding fabric reinforcement, which is shown above.
